Maycor was founded in 2009 by Victor Onet, who started out working solo — painting, decorating and general carpentry across London. Victor is still Maycor's director, site foreman and main point of contact on every project, from first site visit to final handover.
Word of mouth from happy clients kept the work coming, and as the volume grew, Victor gradually built a team around him — experienced carpenters, tilers, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and decorators, plus trusted trade partners — taking on bigger projects along the way: loft conversions, house extensions, full renovations.
Today we handle everything from a single bathroom to a full commercial fit-out, built on the same principles since day one: reliability, honest quoting, quality workmanship and punctuality. That reputation was earned job by job, over nearly two decades, and we don't take it for granted.

We quote what the job actually costs. No low-ball figures to win the work and creep the price later. What you're quoted is what you pay, unless you change the scope.
Fewer, better projects
We take on fewer projects than we could so that every one gets the attention it deserves. We'd rather deliver ten excellent jobs than twenty mediocre ones.
One point of contact
You deal with the same person from site visit to handover. No account managers or middlemen — direct communication with the people running the project.

CSCS Registered
All operatives carry valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards, confirming their trade competence and safety awareness.
SMSTS Qualified
Site Management Safety Training Scheme qualification held by our site managers — covering CDM regulations, risk assessment and on-site H&S management.
COSHH Trained
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health training completed by all operatives who handle specialist materials, solvents and adhesives.
First Aid at Work
Qualified first aiders on all sites, ensuring immediate response capability on every project regardless of size.
£10m Public Liability
Full public liability insurance cover providing peace of mind on every project, residential and commercial.
Gas Safe Registered
Our gas engineers hold Gas Safe registration, covering all gas supply, appliance connection and boiler works.
NICEIC Approved
Our electricians are NICEIC qualified, covering all electrical installation, testing and certification work to UK wiring regulations.
Asbestos Awareness
Asbestos awareness training completed by every operative — essential on London's older housing stock, where it turns up behind ceilings, floors and soffits during strip-out.
